Respect Life Committee Meeting
Thursday, October 17, 7-8 pm, in Our Lady of Mercy Parish Center
As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from conception to natural death, and at every point in between.
Please consider joining other parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy and Saint Brigid’s as we work together to promote, support, and actively affirm the sacred dignity of life! All are welcome to come and share priorities about life issues, or to hear more about tasks we are taking on to see where you would like to lend your support. Questions? Please call or text Kathie @ 216-5765.
RESPECT LIFE from US Conference of Catholic Bishops
Respect Life Month Novena
As part of Respect Life Month, Catholics nationwide will pray a novena from Tuesday, October 22 through Wednesday, October 30, for the protection of human life from conception to natural death. Each day includes a prayer, special intention, brief reflection, and suggestion for a small sacrifice. Although we will not gather in a specific time and place to recite the novena together, our prayers will be united with other faithful as we lift our voices up to God. Visit https://www.respectlife.org/respect-life-month to view the novena - or sign up and have it emailed to you each day. Limited copies will also be available in the back of the Church.
Below is a recording of the event: Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
"A Look at End-of-Life Issues Through the Lens of Catholic Wisdom and Teaching.”
Our speaker is Dr. Thomas Carroll, a respected physician, professor, and long-time advocate for compassionate end-of-life care in line with our Catholic faith. More details to come!
